Pizzaria Monella
View InfoThe ground floor of a residential building in the lively neighbourhood of Neukölln, as been converted into a restaurant and cocktail bar by berlin based Studio MG with Diogo Passarinho.
The space features a monochromatic atmosphere with new black monoliths that contain all necessary programatic functions. Covered in mosaic tiles, they define zones and stage the tension between old and new. The bar has a total area of 100 square meters and is divided into two main areas, each one with its own independent access.
The dining room with 50 square meters is facing the street, and the kitchen, staff and guest toilet are located towards the courtyard, also with the same area size. After the kitchen is closed, tables are moved away giving space to a small dancefloor, where the pizza oven function as a disco-ball.
