Library of Maerzmusik, Berliner Festspiele
View InfoThe “Library of MaerzMusik” is a new space/time for open exchange and personal study, to which the festival invites visitors daily from 14:00 with free admission. In this modular library in the Festspielhaus, artists and the public meet in interactive formats, lectures, and artistic interventions. The design reflects on thorough research done together with in-house experts, it consists mostly of a series of elements and parts found in the Berliner Festspiele storage. An inverted stage/ceiling surrounded by programmatic towers, hosts and welcomes visitors to stay and relax, whilst being surrounded by books and music, and the same showcase its “ever-changing/addition” character through its limitless footprint. The installation is planned to stay longer than the duration of the festival and be used by other programs of the BF.
