View InfoThis project marks the beginning of the collaboration between RAR.STUDIO and Diogo Passarinho Studio, a partnership born from the desire to explore new approaches to exhibition design.
This first project reflects the commitment of both studios to create spaces that engage with memory, materiality, and sensorial interaction. The design was conceived from the collection of materials used in previous exhibitions at CIAJG, including leftover elements from the museum’s inaugural exhibition, which had been stored in the technical reserve.
This set of relegated objects returns to the exhibition space, playing a central role in the construction of a collective memory by revealing the scenographic trajectory of the museum throughout its existence.
The new installation evokes the metaphor of a construction site – a floor being built – inviting the public to engage actively and interact sensorially with the presented content. The floor, as a shared territory, also calls upon the collaborative approach adopted by the curators, designers, and production team, transforming elements of the past into an immersive and sustainable experience for the present.
